ATP Technologies

Where Curiosity Becomes Discovery.
Our mission

To make hands-on STEM learning possible wherever learning happens — combining physical experimentation, digital learning and AI in one connected experience.

Five memos, and a sixth

Six principles for the future of learning

At ATP, six principles shape how we imagine the future of learning. Five were written by Italo Calvino in 1985 as memos for the next millennium — prepared for the Charles Eliot Norton Lectures at Harvard University. The sixth he never wrote, so we interpret it through our work: in classrooms, every day.

Lightness

Subtract the weight between curiosity and discovery. Great learning tools don’t add complexity — they remove it, until nothing stands between a student and the question they want to ask.

Quickness

Not speed for its own sake, but economy: no wasted steps between question and experiment, between idea and evidence. Learning should move at the rhythm of curiosity.

Exactitude

Science demands precision. We design instruments, experiments and digital experiences with clarity, purpose and attention to detail — because rigor is not the opposite of wonder; it’s how wonder becomes knowledge.

Visibility

Discovery begins with imagination. We help students turn abstract ideas into things they can see, touch, test and understand — making the invisible visible, in the lab and on the screen.

Multiplicity

Knowledge is a network, not a ladder. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics become most powerful when students discover the connections between them — and between the classroom and the world.

Consistency

Calvino never wrote the sixth. In our work, it looks like this: physical experimentation, digital learning and AI working as one coherent experience — across lessons, classrooms and communities.

For generations, learning has been shaped by the classroom we inherited. The next generation will be shaped by the classroom we imagine — light, quick, exact, visible, connected and made to endure.

Two places, one product

A foot on each side of the Atlantic

In Italy, we design and build the hardware: ATP Volta™ — our Mobile STEM Laboratory — and its Smart Trays are engineered and manufactured in Italy, CE marked, built to be moved, opened and used every day for years. Italian craftsmanship applied to a school corridor rather than a showroom.

In California, we build the software: ATP Connect™ and Gali™, our AI tutor, come out of the California ed-tech world, where technology is judged by one thing — whether it works in a real classroom, for a real teacher, every day.

Most companies do one or the other. We think the two belong together — a laboratory you can touch, with an intelligence that guides you through it.

Three constraints, one answer

The same three walls, in every school

ATP Technologies™ grew out of years of working with schools, ministries and distributors in the scientific-equipment sector. Everywhere we went, we met the same three constraints — and the same students paying for them.

No budget for a laboratoryBuilding and equipping a science lab costs more than most schools will ever have. ATP Volta delivers a complete, certified laboratory for a fraction of that cost, with nothing to build and nothing to plumb.
No room to put one inATP Volta rolls into any classroom, or becomes a shared STEM Hub that serves the whole school — and rolls out again when the lesson ends.
No specialised teachersA physics teacher covering chemistry, a generalist covering both, or nobody at all. Gali guides every experiment step by step, answers the questions the teacher can't, and does it in the student's language.

How we work

End to end, on two continents

ATP Technologies follows every project end to end: the engineers who design our laboratories also oversee installation, train the teachers and provide the technical support that follows. Every project starts with a conversation about the school's curriculum, space, power supply and budget — not with a price list — and we shape each solution around the needs of the school or institution, not the other way around.

With operations in Italy and the United States, we serve schools, institutions and ministries through a network of local distribution partners who know their education systems — across Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa and the United States.

Sustainability

Something students practise, not just read about

We think sustainability belongs in students' hands. Our EcoGrow vertical hydroponic systems let classes grow real plants at school, turning sustainability from a chapter in a textbook into something students tend, measure and harvest themselves.

The same thinking runs through our hardware: ATP Volta's optional solar power system lets a school run a complete laboratory off the grid, where the electricity supply is unreliable — or absent altogether.

And as a partner of 1% for the Planet, we give one percent of our annual sales to environmental initiatives.
